Thrilled to say that a treasure box arrived from Gollancz today, packed to bursting with mass market paperback editions of Barricade.
As you can see it is a smaller, chubbier version of its taller, leaner ‘trade paperback’ relative but no less gorgeous for it. Plus it now comes stamped with a few nice reviews (many more available here).
As always it’s a thrill to rip the box open and find it stuffed with your books. This latest treat has me rubbing my hands together in anticipation of a big box of Steeple – part 2 in the Kenstibec series, which will be published in June this year.
I am now rather flush with Barricades, so I will have a think about how to get the last few Trade paperbacks out there to those that might be curious.
Maybe I’ll draw a few Fatty cartoons in some copies as special editions? I don’t cartoon half as much as I used to, and I have a posh new fountain pen just begging to be tested. In the meantime, I really must get back to finishing the third and final Book in the Kenstibec series. Look out for it in 2016!
PS – you can still read the opening chapters of Barricade absolutely free on the Gollancz blog here.
